UNCERTAIN GERMANIC TRIBES, Aurum Barbarorum. Late 3rd-early 4th centuries. 'Quinarius' (Gold, 17 mm, 2.84 g, 12 h), 'Probus Group D'. Imitating Probus, 276-282. IISCPIO[.]ՒIHC Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Probus to left, holding spear over his right shoulder and shield on his left. Rev.[...] Victory driving fast biga to left, holding reins in both hands. A splendid coin of lovely style. Holed, otherwise, very fine.

The prototype for this issue is the very rare VBIQVE PAX-reverse of Probus showing Victory in a fast biga to the right (Calicó 4209) and/or the extremely rare VICTORIA PERPETVA-type (RIC 830).
